Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before making a booking with Lefkada Boat Rentals. By completing a reservation, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you have any questions, contact us before booking at contact@lefkadaboatrentals.gr.
01Booking & Reservation
A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a deposit or full payment as agreed. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion. Reservations are subject to boat availability. We will confirm your booking via email or WhatsApp within 24 hours of receiving your request. Until confirmation is received, the booking is not guaranteed.
02Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the rental date will receive a full refund of any deposit paid. Cancellations made between 3 and 7 days before the rental date will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 3 days before the rental date are non-refundable. In the event that we must cancel your booking due to mechanical failure or circumstances beyond our control, a full refund will be issued.
03Weather Cancellations
Your safety is our priority. If we determine that conditions are unsafe for rental (due to high winds, rough seas, or other hazardous weather), we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your booking at no penalty to you. We monitor Beaufort wind conditions and sea state daily. If wind exceeds Beaufort 5 (approximately 29–38 km/h) we may postpone departure or cancel the rental entirely. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date.
04Licence Requirements
Standard and Premium motor boats (Boat IV, VII, VIII, IX, Moonlight 1, Moonlight 2) do not require a boating licence and may be operated by anyone 18 years of age or older. RIB vessels (RIB X and RIB XX) require a valid boating licence or a certified skipper from our team. It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure they hold a valid and appropriate licence for the vessel they intend to operate. Failure to produce a valid licence upon collection may result in cancellation without refund.
05Operator Responsibilities
The person who signs the rental agreement ("the operator") is responsible for the vessel and all passengers throughout the rental period. The operator must: • Be 18 years of age or older • Be in a fit physical and mental state to operate the vessel • Operate the vessel within the agreed sailing range • Follow all safety briefing instructions provided at departure • Ensure all passengers wear life jackets when required • Not operate the vessel under the influence of alcohol or drugs
06Sailing Range
Standard and Premium boats are permitted to operate within the defined Standard & Premium sailing zone as outlined at the time of booking. RIB vessels may operate within the extended RIB sailing zone. Operators must not exceed the agreed range without prior written consent. Crossing into restricted or foreign waters without prior authorisation is strictly prohibited and may result in additional liability for the renter.
07Damage & Liability
The renter is responsible for any damage to the vessel caused during the rental period beyond normal wear and tear, including damage caused by negligence, misuse, or failure to follow our instructions. A security deposit may be required at the time of departure. This will be returned in full upon safe return of the vessel in its original condition. We carry insurance for the vessel. However, this insurance may not cover damage caused by renter negligence. Renters are encouraged to obtain their own travel insurance that includes water sports and boat rental coverage.
08Fuel Policy
Each vessel departs with a full fuel tank or the agreed fuel level as noted on the rental agreement. Upon return, the fuel level is measured and customers pay only for the fuel they have used, at the current prevailing fuel price.
09Return of Vessel
Vessels must be returned to Ligia Port by the agreed return time. Late returns may be subject to an additional hourly charge. Please contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate a delay. If the vessel cannot be returned due to breakdown or emergency, please contact us immediately on +30 697 776 9097. Do not attempt repairs yourself.

Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lefkada, Greece.
